If you're a fan of cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolate, or other drinks that use hot, frothy milk (and really, who isn't?), then Capresso's FrothXpress should become an indispensable part of your kitchen collection. After it's been turned on and warmed up for two minutes, it's easy to use. Just fill the water tank (which is in the actual machine), then fill the milk tank (which is a separate unit), and attach them. From that moment, it's just a matter of putting a cup under the spout and pressing the button--voilà, steamed frothy milk for a variety of treats. The milk temperature is adjustable from 120 to 170 degrees F, and the frother has 1,220 watts of power, as well as a stainless-steel ThermoBlock that ensures the aluminum parts don't touch the steam, a nice safety feature. The FrothXpress measures 8-3/4 by 6-1/2 by 8-3/4 inches (length by width by height), and its bright white plastic coating looks sharp on the counter. --A.J. Rathbun

I also have a Capresso coffee maker/cappuccino that I have used every day for over 2 years. I have used this frother every day for the last 7 months. The FrothXpress saves me time because allows me to froth the milk while my coffee/espresso is brewing. It performs great day after day. This is another great product from Capresso. My capresso products allow me to make specialty coffee drinks every day at a fraction of the cost at a coffee house like Starbucks. I would absolutely recommend this product.
I got this milk frother yesterday. I am never going to buy anything else that has the word `Capresso' on it. Filled it with water and put milk into the milk reservoir, then plugged it into the wall outlet and turned it on. It got hot but nothing happened when I pressed the frother button. Their frother is a piece of junk. Unfortunately, I threw the box out before I tested the machine.
Perfect stand alone frother. Haven't owned it long enough to determine its stability and durability. For now it works as advertised and I couldn't be happier.
I returned my unit, brought home a second unit and the second one did the exact same thing. So it worked a day or two and then just died right. It was only then that I figured out what was wrong. I thought so too but its actually user error and there is no mention of this in the manual. If the metal tube extending down into the cup is not snug up against the top of the unit, the button stops working. Before you accept the negative reviews take it from me, I was the knucklehead. Though, in fairness the manufacturer would save everyone some aggravation if they mentioned this "safety" feature.
I use 1% milk. I wanted to be able to make lattes for our hot tea and since we don't drink coffee I didn't want to buy an espresso machine. The only con is that you have to learn to shut off the steam before you get to the bottom of the milk or you will have milk spatters. The Capresso FrothXpress answered my needs. It is easy to use and creates nice hot milk and froth. I marked the plastic milk holder with a permanent marker for the volume I like to have so I don't have to guess each time I fill it. Neat machine.
