If you're a fan of cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolate, or other drinks that use hot, frothy milk (and really, who isn't?), then Capresso's FrothXpress should become an indispensable part of your kitchen collection. After it's been turned on and warmed up for two minutes, it's easy to use. Just fill the water tank (which is in the actual machine), then fill the milk tank (which is a separate unit), and attach them. From that moment, it's just a matter of putting a cup under the spout and pressing the button--voilà, steamed frothy milk for a variety of treats. The milk temperature is adjustable from 120 to 170 degrees F, and the frother has 1,220 watts of power, as well as a stainless-steel ThermoBlock that ensures the aluminum parts don't touch the steam, a nice safety feature. I have had nothing but trouble with all the expreso machine frothers.I bought this and just as quick as now you get real froth.unreal.and easy to keep clean.the milk container may apear cheap, but is easy to store in fridge.I am still trying out the ajustment to get max. froth.I make froth no less then 20 imes a day, so I hope this continues to marvel me, this machine just saved me from buying another high dollar machine.I only use my high dollar machine for the shots and this for froth.its the best so far.sometimes I get more milk then froth, may be just small ajustment needed 9 out 10 are perfect.
We bought this for Christmas 2009 after finding out how much we were spending at Starbucks for Chai tea. After 6+ weeks, I have nothing but good things to say. Nothing will beat the real thing, but after messing with my mix a bit (like adding the vanilla flavored soy milk), its pretty dang good and I haven't been to SBUK in a long time. Even though I now drink 2x as much as I used to, it still only costs me half as much.
I think that there is a design flaw in the nozzle. I understand that the nozzle must be secure for safety reasons, but 3 times out of 5, when I hit the button to get the steamed milk, it won't work because the nozzle is not pushed up tightly enough. It should have a click or something that secures it in place.
I also have a Capresso coffee maker/cappuccino that I have used every day for over 2 years. I have used this frother every day for the last 7 months. The FrothXpress saves me time because allows me to froth the milk while my coffee/espresso is brewing. It performs great day after day. This is another great product from Capresso. My capresso products allow me to make specialty coffee drinks every day at a fraction of the cost at a coffee house like Starbucks. I would absolutely recommend this product.
I got this milk frother yesterday. I am never going to buy anything else that has the word `Capresso' on it. Filled it with water and put milk into the milk reservoir, then plugged it into the wall outlet and turned it on. It got hot but nothing happened when I pressed the frother button. Their frother is a piece of junk. Unfortunately, I threw the box out before I tested the machine.
